Principal’s Message
Dear Kate Sullivan Elementary School Families and Community,
Welcome to a place where tradition, heart, and excellence meet. Since 1948, Kate Sullivan Elementary has been a proud pillar of the Tallahassee community — a school where generations of children have grown, learned, and flourished. Our long history is more than dates on a plaque; it’s a living story of dedicated teachers, supportive families, and students who bring curiosity, kindness, and joy into our classrooms every day.
What makes our school truly special is the strong sense of community that surrounds it. Parents, staff, volunteers, and neighbors partner with us to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels seen and valued. Our teachers use thoughtful, research‑based practices to challenge students academically while also helping them build character, resilience, and the social skills needed to succeed in a changing world.
At Kate Sullivan, we celebrate both academic achievement and the whole child. From engaging classroom projects and hands‑on learning to arts, physical education, and community events, we provide varied opportunities that spark creativity and build confidence. Our commitment to equity ensures that every student has access to the supports they need to reach their potential.
We are proud of our legacy and excited about our future. As we continue to grow and adapt, our mission remains constant: to inspire a love of learning, cultivate compassionate citizens, and prepare each child for success in school and life. Thank you to everyone who contributes to our school — your partnership makes Kate Sullivan Elementary a warm, welcoming, and outstanding place to learn.
With gratitude and pride,
Proud Principal
